  • How do I dispose of the WEARBIO face covering?

The WEARBIO face mask and snood are produced from mixed textile fibres and can be recycled at textile recycle centres.

If disposed of in a general waste bin, 95% of the the fibres used in WEARBIO garments will biodegrade in soil, freshwater and marine environments. These fibres do not contribute to the marine litter and micro plastic pollution.

The longevity, reusability and fit of WEARBIO products benefit from 5% stretch fibres that extend the life of our masks and snoods. These stretch fibres are not currently biodegradable. Their presence will not affect the ability of the 95% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres to compost and biodegrade.

WEARBIO takes its environmental responsibility very seriously and we will continue in our endeavours to improve end-of-life sustainability when advances in stretch technology become available.
